Smart Solutions offers job-embedded professional development programs designed to increase technology integration to support student achievement. An important part of our services are the strong relationships we build with our districts. Teachers know and trust that we will be there to help them move forward with technology integration.

The Smart Solutions K12 Professional Development staff knows how to put digital immigrants at ease. We give them the confidence and knowledge to successfully implement 21st century teaching and learning into their classrooms.

Our primary offerings include two long-term, job-embedded solutions to professional development. By working with district staff over an entire school year, we get to know the teachers and their unique needs. We support them by building their learning networks and providing them with the utmost in high-quality instruction.

SSIK12 Digital Academy

Our Digital Academy is a long-term, blended professional development program. We meet with teachers monthly in face-to-face sessions that allow for hands-on instruction and support. Supplemented by an online learning environment, your teachers can extend their learning beyond the monthly sessions. Participants engage in online discussion forums, share solutions and create content that can be put into classroom practice immediately.

Our Digital Academies focus on how technology can support curriculum and pedagogy. We use regular feedback to tailor our sessions to ensure that we are meeting each district’s goals.

Technology Coaching Services

Technology Coaching services provide just-in-time support for teachers in their classrooms. We provide an experienced Smart Solutions professional development team member to the district for a set number of days per week. By being embedded within the district, a technology coach builds important relationships provides ongoing support to teachers in the use of technology to enhance student engagement. Technology Coaching services include one-on-one and small group coaching to teachers during their planning time, just-in-time support in classrooms, after school workshops, and other services tailored to the needs of the district.
